The city of 
Sète 
                                        is situated in the south french department 
                                        
Hérault. It has 
                                        got 42000 inhabitants. 
                                        
Sète lies on a strait headland 
                                          between the pond of Than and the Mediterranean. 
                                          Hence it`s surrounded by water.
                                        At the city-periphery you will find 
                                          the mountain St.Clair whose 
                                          altitude is nearly 200 meters.
                                        Long sandy beaches 
                                          invite to swim and to relax in summertime.
                                        Accessorily there is a very important 
                                          fishery harbour and 
                                          a trade port which 
                                          is the most important all over France 
                                          apart from Marseille. Starting from 
                                          Sète you can go to Tanger (Morocco) 
                                          and to the Balearic Islands by ship.
